Black Wolves (The Black Wolves Trilogy #1) by Kate Elliott

An exiled captain returns to help the son of the king who died under his protection in this rich and multi-layered first book in an action-packed new series.

Twenty two years have passed since Kellas, once Captain of the legendary Black Wolves, lost his King and with him his honor. With the King murdered and the Black Wolves disbanded, Kellas lives as an exile far from the palace he once guarded with his life.

Until Marshal Dannarah, sister to the dead King, comes to him with a plea-rejoin the palace guard and save her nephew, King Jehosh, before he meets his father’s fate.

This book features some serious epic fantasy, and for some reason I think of the television series Into the Badlands although it says in the description fans of Marco Polo. But regardless of that this book has an Asian inspired feel and seems very captivating.

Steel Justice (A Bad Boy Romance) by Dez Burke

One taste of her sweet lips and I swore I’d make her mine…

Bikers, babes, and booze. Three things I lived for, all in one dirty package when I decided to throw my brother’s bachelor party at the Panama City Bike Rally.

Then she came along and screwed up everything.

The plan was simple. Familiar. Take her home, wreck her for other men, then kick her to the curb by daylight, spent and breathless.

It would’ve been the perfect night making her scream my name if she hadn’t hidden one little fact.

She’s Big Roy’s property, and he owns her. The Prez of the Liberators MC is used to getting what he wants, and he won’t let her go without a fight.

Neither will I.

I’ll see him burn in hell before I let him touch her ever again…

Steel Justice is a complete standalone book, however there are two other Steel Infidels novels – Safe House and Liberated. If you’ve read my review of those two novels, you’d know my expectations for this novel aren’t very high.

But you never know, maybe this will be a badass MC novel that will blow me away…or maybe not.

Thicker Than Water by Brigid Kemmerer

The blurb for this is all-that and more. Young adult contemporary dashed with some paranormal spices makes for fabulous stories to read. You might not know Brigid Kemmerer, but she’s the author of the urban fantasy/paranormal series Elemental that is becoming increasingly popular among YA readers. If you were looking to swipe this book off the shelves you’ll have to wait until December 29, 2015. In the meantime you can check out her other series.

On his own

Thomas Bellweather hasn’t been in town long. Just long enough for his newlywed mother to be murdered, and for his new stepdad’s cop colleagues to decide Thomas is the primary suspect.

Not that there’s any evidence. But before Thomas got to Garretts Mill there had just been one other murder in twenty years.

The only person who believes him is Charlotte Rooker, little sister to three cops and, with her soft hands and sweet curves, straight-up dangerous to Thomas. Her best friend was the other murder vic. And she’d like a couple answers.

Answers that could get them both killed, and reveal a truth Thomas would die to keep hidden…

The Love That Split the World by Emily Henry

Natalie’s last summer in her small Kentucky hometown is off to a magical start…until she starts seeing the “wrong things.” They’re just momentary glimpses at first—her front door is red instead of its usual green, there’s a pre-school where the garden store should be. But then her whole town disappears for hours, fading away into rolling hills and grazing buffalo, and Nat knows something isn’t right.

That’s when she gets a visit from the kind but mysterious apparition she calls “Grandmother,” who tells her: “You have three months to save him.” The next night, under the stadium lights of the high school football field, she meets a beautiful boy named Beau, and it’s as if time just stops and nothing exists. Nothing, except Natalie and Beau.

When I first saw this novel I fell hard for this cover. It has this Alice in Wonderland, down the rabbit whole feel to it and it’s just so pretty with the universe all around the sunset and water that I was ready to buy it then. But then I read the synopsis and I just fell harder! It first reminded me of the movie “In Your Eyes” with Zoe Kazan, until I kept reading and realized that this was something different, and sooooooo exciting that I just went:

Corrupt by Penelope Douglas

I have to be honest. This isn’t my genre, and the blurb sounds a bit icky…however I’ve been trying to broaden my reading interest and experience something new with this new adult, dark erotica novel. I’ve never read anything by this author but people seem to like her! With her super successful new adult series Fall Away, which I also don’t see myself liking, but November is all about exploring the new. This novel is now available.

Erika

I was told that dreams were our heart’s desires. My nightmares, however, became my obsession.

His name is Michael Crist.

My boyfriend’s older brother is like that scary movie that you peek through your hand to watch. He is handsome, strong, and completely terrifying. The star of his college’s basketball team and now gone pro, he’s more concerned with the dirt on his shoe than me.

But I noticed him.

I saw him. I heard him. The things that he did, and the deeds that he hid…For years, I bit my nails, unable to look away.

Now, I’ve graduated high school and moved on to college, but I haven’t stopped watching Michael. He’s bad, and the dirt I’ve seen isn’t content to stay in my head anymore.

Because he’s finally noticed me.

Michael

Her name is Erika Fane, but everyone calls her Rika.

My brother’s girlfriend grew up hanging around my house and is always at our dinner table. She looks down when I enter a room and stills when I am close. I can always feel the fear rolling off of her, and while I haven’t had her body, I know that I have her mind. That’s all I really want anyway.

Until my brother leaves for the military, and I find Rika alone at college.

In my city.

Unprotected.

The opportunity is too good to be true as well as the timing. Because you see, three years ago she put a few of my high school friends in prison, and now they’re out.

We’ve waited. We’ve been patient. And now every last one of her nightmares will come true.

Untamed (Splintered #3.5) by A. G. Howard

I love A. G. Howard’s covers because they’re always so ethereal and colorful that it makes them just as interesting as the Splintered series. Alice in Wonderland is a childhood favorite, and any retelling of this classic novel is a winner for me. So, this series is a winner! Please start from book one before jumping right into this novel which will be available December 15, 2015. Personally, I’ve only read book one, but book two will be read very soon.

Alyssa Gardner went down the rabbit hole and took control of her destiny. She survived the battle for Wonderland and the battle for her heart. In this collection of three novellas, join Alyssa and her family as they look back at their memories of Wonderland.

In Six Impossible Things, Alyssa recalls the most precious moments of her life after Ensnared, and the role magic plays in preserving the happiness of those she loves. Alyssa’s mother reminisces about her own time in Wonderland and rescuing the man who would become her husband in The Boy in the Web. And Morpheus delves into Jeb’s memories of the events of Splintered in The Moth in the Mirror, available in print for the first time.

This collection expands upon Ensnared‘s epilogue, and includes some deleted scenes to provide a “director’s cut” glimpse into the past and futures of our favorite Splintered characters

Secret Sisters by Jayne Ann Krentz

This woman has been writing longer than I’ve been born and that doesn’t deter me one bit. Jayne Ann Krentz also goes by the pin name Amanda Quick and Jayne Castle. I’ve read every book by Amanda Quick and Jayne Ann Krentz, so you could say I’m a fan…

Therefore this release is a huge deal. Although she tends to be formulaic, she grabs my attention every time. Sadly, It’s not available until December 8, 2015 but I can wait…not really but I have to.

Madeline and Daphne were once as close as sisters—until a secret tore them apart. Now it might take them to their graves.

They knew his name, the man who tried to brutally attack twelve-year-old Madeline in her grandmother’s hotel. They thought they knew his fate. He wouldn’t be bothering them anymore…ever. Still their lives would never be the same.

Madeline has returned to Washington after her grandmother’s mysterious death. And at the old, abandoned hotel—a place she never wanted to see again—a dying man’s last words convey a warning: the secrets she and Daphne believed buried forever have been discovered.

Now, after almost two decades, Madeline and Daphne will be reunited in friendship and in fear. Unable to trust the local police, Madeline summons Jack Rayner, the hotel chain’s new security expert. Despite the secrets and mysteries that surround him, Jack is the only one she trusts…and wants.

Jack is no good at relationships but he does possess a specific skill set that includes a profoundly intimate understanding of warped and dangerous minds. With the assistance of Jack’s brother, Abe, a high-tech magician, the four of them will form an uneasy alliance against a killer who will stop at nothing to hide the truth….
